This is especially useful for people who use Safari on iOS but Orion on the Mac. See Firefox’s share extension for an example. Firefox also supports adding to reading list which is convenient. Currently, Orion’s share extension only opens the current webpage in Orion. More actions are welcome.

adorabilis What should those more actions be - please specify them.

Also why are the reasons someone may use Safari on iOS and Orion on Desktop?

Vlad Here are my suggested options:

      • Open link in Orion
      • Open link in private tab in Orion
      • Bookmark link in Orion
      • Add to Reading List in Orion
      • Add to Tab Group / Saved Window...

I prefer Safari’s UI and UX on iOS but it is just an example. This feature would be beneficial to anyone who uses a different browser on iOS.

They are nearly identical, can you be more specific?

Vlad Though Safari has fewer features, it has more polish. For instance, animations in Safari feel more natural and fluid since they track finger movement. In Orion, animations start after gesture completes. I also find the swipe-up gesture to activate the right sidebar to be very jarring. I strongly prefer the tab overview to the sidebar. I do most of my reading and web browsing on the Mac so I’m fine with the tradeoffs on iOS as long as content blockers are enabled.

I think we are aware of that 🙂 It helps when they have 100 developers working on it for 15 years!

Also look around this site - people quite passionaltely want more features. Nobody is saying - hold on - polish it first.
