  • Reddit promoted ads are not being blocked by default Orion ad blocker [IOS]

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open old.reddit.com
  2. Scroll some subreddits and you will see ads.

Expected behaviour:
Should block the ads.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
iPad, Orion 1.2.4(2)

        Now that support for custom filters on Orion iOS is out, reddit ads can be blocked by adding the following line into your custom filters:
        reddit.com##.promotedlink

        While it is not on by default, I'd say this is enough to consider this oneDone @Vlad

            Orion has EasyList enabled by default and that should contain
            reddit.com,reddittorjg6rue252oqsxryoxengawnmo46qy4kyii5wtqnwfj4ooad.onion##.promotedlink:not([style^="height: 1px;"])
            but for some reason Orion's content blocker is not parsing it correctly/for some other reason it is not being blocked.

            While adding reddit.com##.promotedlink into the custom filter list by default could work as a temporary solution, I've understood that implementing #8026 should also potentially solve this issue for good.

                Confirmed. Wiped my Orion installation and this is the current default blocklist setup:

                I also tested both old.reddit.com and reddit.com and couldn't find any ads.
