Steps to reproduce:
It is impossible to use the browser as every few seconds it completely crashes and the beach ball appears. After a few seconds it works again but after another 10 seconds it stops working. Happens to me constantly and makes the browser unusable.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
MacBook Pro 13" mid-2020 and the latest version of MacOS. It happens with every version of Orion that has come out so far.

    could you mind sharing detailed steps to reproduce, or video showing orion freezing every 10-15 seconds?


      also, sending crash reports to devs if it happens again would be nice 🙂

        Albertoto Try to reinstall and do not install any extensions. Then add extensions until you figure out which one is causing it (most llikely caused by extension).

            Albertoto You can also create a new clean profile and see if it causes any issues.

                I have reinstalled orion and for now it is working well. Let's see if it stays that way.

                    Is there an extension profiler? It would be good to work out which are the bad ones. (This issue is happening to me too. I will create a fresh profile..)

                      robrecord No, and generally we can not gurantee for the well behavior of extensions. They are the first thing that should be disabled when you run into problems.

                        I found the extension "cookie autodelete" was causing the slowdown for me. I disabled its primary automatic function and my Orion is back to normal. I imagine this slowdown might be specific to Orion, as it would be picked up fast by the Firefox community. I'll keep an eye on it.
