This is a WebKit bug, reporting it here as well so people can find the answer to their problem.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use Orion Version 0.99.122.3-rc (WebKit 615.1.14.3)
  2. Go to the comment section of a YouTube video (see image/video section for an example)
  3. Find a comment that is long enough to have a 'Read more' option
  4. Notice that the button is missing when using WebKit 615.1.14.3 (Both Orion RC and Safari TP 160 have this issue)

Expected behavior:
The 'Read more' button should be there.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.122.3-rc (WebKit 615.1.14.3)
MacBook Air M1 (macOS Ventura 13.1 build 22C65)

          Hi,

          After the latest beta update Version 0.99.123-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1) YouTube comments box no longer shows (full comment) and is replaced by ... that you can not click to show full comment. This behaviour is proper to Orion as it works properly in Safari and Chrome...

              Hey,

              I have the same problem. Disabled all extensions, ran in compatibility mode, the "show more" button never shows up in Orion. In Safari the button shows up like it should. A bit annoying, but not dealbreaking for me. Would love to see it fixed tho.

                Steps to reproduce:
                Go to youtube and look for any long comments. By default, the comment should be truncated with a "read more" option which should expand out the rest of the comment. Currently the "read more" option is not displayed and the comment abruptly cuts out with a "..." I believe I have read online that the same occurs on Reddit.

                Expected behavior:
                You should be able to expand the comment to read it in its entirety
