Steps to reproduce:

Extensions are disabled (see screenshot, greyed out i.e disabled (can't click), for any article / page on this domain.
Expected behavior:
Extensions not disabled.
Very weird.

Buttons are disabled visually, left click does nothing, right click behaves normally. 'Share' and 'Downloads' work for what that is worth!
Oof looks obvious in retrospect.
Not known to me; I expect Compatibility Mode to do most of those points (i.e disabled content blockers etc...) but not for it to disable extensions.
Adding the list of what gets blocked to the popup when Compatibility Mode is enabled would probably have made me realize.
