Hi,

This more a question than an actually bug report. I'm really excited to give Orion a try, but I cannot get any mouse gesture extensions to work. I've tried most of the popular plugins from both the Firefox store as the Chrome store. As gestures are part of my primary workflow (my main browser is Vivaldi, which has excellent gestures support), not getting gestures to work, keeps me from using Orion any further.

Steps to reproduce:
Install a gestures extension (I tried: Foxy Gestures, Gesturefy, CrxMouse Chrome Gestures, CLEAN crxMouse Gestures, etc.). Most of the time, using the right mouse button to initiate a gesture just shows the context menu.

Expected behavior:
I expect the gesture extension to work 🙂

Orion and macOS:
macOS Big Sur version 11.6, Orion Version 0.99.108.1-beta

    Hm, I'm sorry, I see now that I should have posted this in the Extensions category. However, does somebody have any positive experience with a certain (non-obscure) gestures extension in Orion? Thanks!

      Macgesture is a gesture app. A bit hard to set up, but its system wide.

      Thanks for the suggestion TheOtherKai! I tried the Macgesture app and it can be used as replacement of a gesture extension in Orion. While I'm used only to use gestures in a browser, I'm not really a fan of the system wide scope of the tool. However, this can be limited by enabling the 'Allow List mode' filter option and adding 'com.kagi.kagimacOS' to the list. So for the time being (I really hope that Orion will have better gesture support in the future), this can be seen as a valid workaround. Thanks!

        Can confirm Gesturefy is not working. Clicking the 'New Gesture' pane does nothing.

          I just wanted to add my experience to this as well. I've tried a couple of popular mouse gesture extensions from the Firefox and Chrome stores, and nothing works.

            hello, is there any progress for this one? this is probably the last feature i'm expecting to get it done before i could switch to Orion as my default browser on Mac. Vivaldi-like gestures without having to install any extension would be much more preferred 😉

              lews No progress yet, it is a fairly niche feature (as observed by number of upvotes) that is at the same time not trivial to do.
