alezzblezz I am not able to reproduce the problem. Have you tried in compatibility mode? Can you share exact steps to reproduce?

      2 months later

I'm having this exact problem in Google Maps, I'm on MacOS 10.14.6 (18G9323) and Orin beta 0.99.111-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)

Compatibility mode and turning off add-ons does not change it. Roads etc flash for a moment on first load, but then disappear. Using Safari or Chrome as user agent doesn't help.

It's like this using Google Maps on maps.google.com or any other of the local Google Maps domains.

          Note able to reproduce.

This is still an issue for me. Google Maps is an important website in many ways, so it could be worth looking into further.

This happens for me as well. It loads the map properly for about 2 seconds, then squishes down to the image below. Happened on both 0.99.117-beta and the previous version. I tried compatability mode with no success.

              Computer specs:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
              OS: macOS Monterey 12.4
              Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
              Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

cloud infra map is the same

              [Edit]
Just tested it on my work laptop and maps render fine on there. Specs on work laptop are:
              MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
              OS: macOS Monterey 12.3.1
              Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7
              Memory: 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Going to try upgrading both the macOS 12.5 to see if that either breaks my work laptop or fixes my personal laptop. Will report back.

              [Edit #2]
Upgrading to 12.5 did not make any difference. Still broken on personal, working on work laptop.

obroc Thanks for the report, still looking for either steps to reproduce or OS/Orion setting causing the issue.

Same thing happens to me on google maps. The same laptop and OS.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
                  OS: macOS Monterey 12.4
                  Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
                  Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

UPDATE: Upgraded to MacOS 12.5 and same thing happens.
Google Map appears for a few seconds and then shrinks down to one line where the rest of the screen is black.

Works perfectly on my 2015 iMac, only does this on the Mac Book Pro.

Hello, problem still unfixed : for me, it is not the rendering of roads and assets over the map, but rather a graphic problem. MacOS v.12.6.1 (21G217) ; Orion v. 0.99.121.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20).
Further informations : all map insertion(s) in website(s) work properly on Safari ; bug happens on all map(s) inserted in website(s) on Orion. My computer specs : mbp 2015 15", 2.8 (i7), with radeon discrete graphics (could the bug come from the switching between integrated chip and discrete chip, i.e intel iris graphics and radeon graphics ?) thus explaining the working map at first, then followed by a buggy map ?
"obroc" 26 July, has (more or less) the same Mac, same problem.

"selector" 7 August, idem.

See video attached
Is there is any application that monitors the switch between the two graphic chips ?

jonrubens You basically did nothing and it jammed? Any errors in the console?

                              Vlad
I am on a different computer now and can't reproduce to check console.
