if you don't know about the Shortcuts app, here are the official guides for macOS and iOS. Safari has a shortcut for opening many URLs at once:

Shorcuts integration would be a good way to automate some aspects of browsing and using Orion. Perhaps Orion could have the same set of shortcuts, and here are some ideas for others:

  • Open a set of links either in the main tab group, or in a specific one. Perhaps also in the tab group currently open in Orion (even if Orion is closed?)

    • Choose to open them in the background or foreground.
  • Create a new bookmark or set of bookmarks (takes text input like the shortcut shown above).

    • Either directly onto the bookmarks bar or in a specific folder.
  • Show a web view, like the Safari shortcut. This could be preferred over the Safari shortcut if it can load extensions like uBlock Origin, and maybe some other features in Orion I'm not thinking of.

  • Get all tabs open in plain text. Either tabs in all tab groups, or in a specific one.

Orion Shorcuts should include a way to target profiles as well.

I would also wanna see a shortcut that initiates a search (so I can set it to my iOS action button). Also this has a mobile tag but MacOS also has shortcuts so that would be a nice add.

I’d still really like to see this implemented so it is easier and more intuitive, but as a workaround you can leverage the standard Open URL action along with the following string - orion://open-url?url=(insert URL)

        e.g. YouTube would be orion://open-url?url=https://youtube.com/

It would be nice to be able to pass text elements of a webpage to other apps using shortcuts would be nice. Page selection and Name is already available. Page URL isn’t. Since Orion is WebKit based, it would be nice to have shortcuts feature parity with Safari.
