Steps to reproduce:
<Include steps to reproduce the bug; Did you try using Compatibility mode? If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?>

  • Install the FediAct extension. It does not matter whether Firefox or Chrome, or from store or from disk.
  • Open your Mastodon home instance and log in.
  • Set your home instance in the FediAct settings.
  • Open a different Mastodon instance; interactions will not work.

Compatibility mode does not change the behavior.

Expected behavior:
<What you expected to happen?>
I expected the extension to work correctly, i.e. you can follow/favorite/boost people/posts from other Mastodon instances.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:

  • Orion 0.99.122-beta
  • macOS Monterey 12.6.2 build 21G320
  • MacBook Air M1

Additional information:

When opening the extension console, for the Firefox extension it shows the following error: "Failed to load resource: The operation couldn’t be completed. (Orion.SchemeHandlerError error 2.)" There is no reference to a line of code in the extension, so it's hard to know (for me) what the issue could be.

For the Chrome extension, it shows the following error: "typeerror: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'chrome.runtime')" It refers to the file background.min.js, to what I expect would be this line in the code: https://github.com/Lartsch/FediAct/blob/main/src/background.js#L150

    This one still isn't functioning; I get the popup and can modify settings successfully; but no behaviour is changed on Mastodon profiles, sadly.
