Steps to reproduce:

  • Open google.com
  • Search whatever
  • Click on random links
  • Go back to Google
  • You will find yourself at the top of the Google page

Expected behavior

  • The scroll position within the google search should be persistent when coming back to the Google page (the desktop version does it and Safari does it on iOS)

Orion, OS version; hardware type:

Sorry for marking it as "Desktop" - It is an issue on mobile.

I have seen this same issue when opening websites from other apps. It keeps the last tab that I left off on and only when I close the Orion and re-open is when the tab works correctly.

For me it is super interesting that people are not annoyed by this bug as there is little attention. I thought everyone would use search engines and gets annoyed if it jumps back to the top of the page everytime.

Let’s see if Bing and Google switch to their new searches before this one is fixed.

rosenrot It does not do that to me. Try reproducing with a clean new Orion profile?

Vlad How can I create a new profile on iOS? Is it deleting the app and all data and reinstalling it?

I have no extensions installed and this issue happens every time.

My bad, I thought this was for desktop.

I think I've experienced something with Google search that might be related to this: if you search something, scroll down until infinite pagination loads up the second page it moves you to the top as well. But it doesn't happen later on, only on page 2.

Thank you very much for fixing this with 1.2.7
