Steps to reproduce:
Keep trying to find out.
It seems to happen when I leave my mac for a long time and wake it up from sleeping, but it doesn't work all the time.

Expected behavior:
The website pane overlaps with the address bar.

As far as I remember, there already is a bug report about this issue.
However I couldn't find it, so I wrote this.
Please let me know if this is a duplicate.

I just had the same issue occur when I came back to my laptop. I can't reproduce it consistently though.

My suspicion is that it happened somewhere between sleep/wake & me disconnecting an external monitor (which isn't high-dpi, unlike my MacBook's screen) but no matter how much I try various combinations of order of unplugging things, it doesn't happen again.

I'll report back if I ever figure it out.

    Orion, OS version; hardware type:
    Version 0.99.123.1-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1)
MacBook Pro (macOS Ventura 13.2.1 build 22D68)

jelmervdl My mac also sleeps frequently, while being connected / disconnected into multiple monitors with multiple resolutions. However couldn't find a reproducible procedure yet 🙁

I just experienced this bug on a Macbook Air M2. I was screwing about with screen mirroring over the weekend and I wonder if that triggered it for me. The only other thing I can add at the moment is I'm running Monterey 12.6.3 so it's not specific to Ventura as the above users noted. I will bookmark the issue and watch closely for the next time it occurs.

I appreciate it is tough to reproduce, but that makes it even tougher for us to debug. We will wait until we have steps.

I also had this problem on my dual monitor M1 Mac. I think the bug occurred immediately after opening a new Private window, but the fault later spread to other non-Private Orion windows. The problem went away when I restarted the browser. I have "Orion opens with" set to "All non-private windows from last session". I also don't know any steps to trigger this intermittent bug. I'm using Version 0.99.123.3-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1).

Appreciate all input, but no steps to reproduce = no fix. There is literally nothing we can do about it without the ability to reproduce or understand what is causing the problem.

Yes, I appreciate that intermittent errors are difficult to fix. I thought perhaps you could audit the code that calculates the vertical coordinate determining the start of the content area, though I imagine your priorities will be elsewhere unless it happens to you repeatedly, or you get a high number of users reporting this problem.

rohanc We could, but we would rather spend previous time on 1,000+ other open issues that have steps to reproduce.
