Steps to reproduce:
I typically open a bunch of tabs in the background when searching. When I open a new one, it seemingly blocks the main thread causing a spinning beach ball for about 2-5 seconds. It also does not happen immediately after right-clicking open in background. It probably takes about a second or two. Two sites that have a more significant delay are YouTube and Reddit.
My machine is not old, see below. I have also recently upgraded to Ventura from Monterey hoping that it might be resolved but it's not. I typically have many tabs across many windows but I don't experience this in Safari. Safari seemingly leaves the main thread or the current webpage performing as usual while the other tabs loaded in the background.
This is also an Orion specific delay (beach ball) because other applications and processes on my Mac are not affected and I can do other stuff while waiting on Orion
Could it be the storage solution for saving tabs?
I also happen to have more than 100 tabs across all windows but I don't have this issue with more tabs on Safari.
Expected behavior:
Open a tab in the background and continue browsing in the current tab without noticeable delay or spinning beach ball like on Safari and other browsers.
