Let’s face it. A large majority use the private window feature in browsers to just navigate to one or two websites they don’t want in their search history, and once they have finished viewing their particular website(s), users will often go back to non-private browsing. I think Orion should mirror Safari’s behaviour when closing all private tabs, which is, when you close all private tabs, it does not automatically open a new tab; it just stays in the tab overview to allow for easy access to switch back to non-private browsing.

LAJVXO It is not clear what you mean - can you show a video of how the Orion behavior is different?

In the video attached, the first browser is safari. When I close the private tab, it stays in the overview, allowing me to switch to a regular tab easily. The second browser is Orion. When I close the private tab, it opens a new tab automatically, then I have to press the tab overview button first before I can change to a regular tab.

      Brief Summary
I should be able to close all private tabs without the Start Page appearing.

      Details:
When leaving Private Mode, I almost always swipe away all my open tabs and expect some confirmation that all my tabs have been closed. (E.g., in Safari, swiping away all Private tabs shows a Private-tab explanation.)

When all Private tabs are closed in Orion, a new tab is opened. For my use case this is not helpful.

      1. Another gesture is needed to access the [leave private mode] button.
      2. After a second or two, I forget whether I'm in Private or [public] mode. (See https://orionfeedback.org/d/5336-private-mode-should-be-more-obvious)

Merged 2 posts from Private tabs should be fully clearable.

It's true, this is happening again.
