the do not track (dnt) is not legally binding in pretty much everywhere
but, there is a different version of something similar called global privacy control (gcp). there are laws regarding it in quite a few US states (not just california), and the EU
the addition of this doesn't really change much for fingerprinting, as there is already plenty of other stuff that is used for fingerprinting
brave has enabled this by default for everyone: https://brave.com/web-standards-at-brave/4-global-privacy-control/#why-brave-supports-the-global-privacy-control-proposal
another discussion regarding gcp: https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/global-privacy-control/17443
official spec: https://w3c.github.io/gpc/
I believe this can be implemented in a pretty simple manner on macos, but ios may require some javascript to get it implemented
"[Dozens] of organizations, representing 50 million users and hundreds of thousands of websites, are in support of GPC." these orgs include ddg, eff, mozilla, nyt, etc
