Sync profiles, extensions, settings and history across machines

Coming back to Orion RC after a ₆ month hiatus, I'm super stoked with the progress that's been made, such that this would absolutely be my top remaining feature request! I'm using profiles heavily on my laptop, but haven't taken the plunge to move everything from #toomanybrowsers on my desktop yet. Hoping this gets released as I will much more readily cull a few of those other browsers from the rotation ;-)

Personally, even if it only allowed syncing the profile names, icons, and color or emoji, that would be quite useful. I use multiple devices through my week and when I set a new one up it would just be nice to have. Of course it would be more useful to have more things sync but that would be a good start for me.

guillaumer agreed - if this makes implementing an MVP of this feature easier, I'd also support this approach

Sticking a few hundred votes on this. It may not seem like it's a big deal, as most people only setup their laptops / desktops once and that's it for a few years; but I am a serial formatter and reinstall my operating system on a regular cadence and I'd love to stop fighting with Orion and have my profiles and settings truly sync'd.

With Linux support coming, I'm hoping that this changes to something other than iCloud. Are there any updates on a better sync system? Thanks!

As a hard profiles user, it still very very meaningful for me. Actually, can't totally change to Orion until that. :-(
