It doesn't happen often also i still loose browser history with YouTube open

tl;dr seems to be related to adblock (and also happens in other browsers with built-in adblock?)

We still need steps to reproduce. If it is caused by ad blocker you can always disable it on YouTube and use something else.

Maybe related but I have experienced video playback issues on several pages containing embedded video. These include YouTube and Twitter video links as well as Facebook.

I have some random issues with YouTube videos freezing while playing after an indeterminate time. The video and the tab itself will freeze and require closing and re-opening to get the video going again. I am attempting to re-create this in a clean profile to confirm the issue but my main Orion profile only has the Bitwarden extension. Because this is random, it may take a while for me to confirm.

I should note in addition that I am a YouTube Premium subscriber, so no ads being blocked to freeze this. In addition, this also happens with livestreams which do not contain ads inserted.

If I can help to troubleshoot this, please let me know how.

Update: After around 15 minutes in the clean profile and not signed into YouTube, the video stopped and the tab froze and reloaded itself. I will test Safari to determine if this happens with Safari as well.

Update 2: Around 25 minutes in on Safari on the same video, there has been no freezing.

Update: After a considerable amount of time daily driving Orion and trying to recreate this video issue, I can pretty confidently say that this only happens with YouTube. I've tested as many streaming video platforms as I could to see if the pause happens but it does not. It's only YouTube.

Update: I have observed that if watching a YouTube video in the background or using PiP, I can 'intercept' a freeze by switching back to the YouTube tab when the video starts to cut off. When I do this, there is a refresh animation and the video starts again as normal. This may indicate the issue is related somehow to the video buffer not continuously updating as it should and the video stops when it reaches the point it was buffered to?

Appears to be fixed in Version 0.99.123.3.6-rc (WebKit 616.1.4.5). I have yet to experience any video pausing or buffering issues.

Same goes for 0.99.123.3.7-rc, too! All issues seem to be resolved. I've been playing videos without any freezing, buffering or pausing issues.
