scottjeffers When we ask for steps to reproduce we need full steps to reproduce. In this case we are missing at least the URL to the video and timestamp.
I found an example on mine. I'm on this video at 8:22, where there's a screen with lots of text:
On Safari, I see the live text icon on the bottom right of the video player, and can drag to select text.
On Orion, there's no icon, and if I hold to drag I see the cursor change to a text selector, but I can't actually select anything.
PlagalCadence I can reproduce this, thanks!
still not work on youtube
Steps to reproduce:
<Include steps to reproduce the bug; Did you try using Compatibility mode (https://help.kagi.com/orion/support-and-community/troubleshooting-webpage-issues.html)? Did you try using a clean Orion Profile? If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?>
Expected behavior:
<What you expected to happen?>
Orion, OS version; hardware type:

<Copy/paste or drag and drop to upload images or videos (up to 20MB)>
Would like to have this feature in Orion. It works flawlessly in Safari and is really useful.
Hi folks, any updates on what's blocking this feature request?
crinkleHemlockTrapper Yep, 2000 other open issues
Haha, yikes -- that isn't fun. :/
Safari has this feature where you can select text directly from a paused video frame, works in youtube as well.
This also works in any photo.
looks like text selection works in photos already, only can not select text in paused video
This feature exists in safari where when pausing a youtube video with text in it, hovering cursor on top of of the text, cursor turns into text cursor and text can be selected. It would be great for Orion to have it too.
Being able to select text directly from a paused video is very useful when trying to copy paste from an information dense slideshow.
