I am suggesting for an extensions drop-down menu like in Chrome and Edge. This would be a good option for those of us who have tons of browser extensions and don't want to have them all sitting in the toolbar. The current extensions button seems like a great way to implement it. If you want to keep the ability to manage extensions from the menu, add a prompt at the bottom labeled "Manage Extensions"
Ability to hide extensions and select them from submenu
loganp01 you can do this now, albeit it takes a bit of work. Right-click on the toolbar and select "Customize Toolbar...". From there, make sure you have the overflow menu (three dots) on your toolbar somewhere, then drag the extension icons you want into the overflow menu area that displays in the customize step. From then on, those extensions will only show up by clicking on the 3 dot item on the toolbar.

loganp01 As explained above it already exists and is called Overflow menu. It works for more than extensions and you can put anything in there.
Now a question is how do we make this more discoverable for users coming from Chrome? We do not want to have it enabled on the toolbar by default.

Vlad how do we make this more discoverable
Something in the Help menu, maybe? It could open a page that details features other browsers have that Orion implements differently. Call it "Switching from another browser..." or something more concise along those lines.
Along those lines, a "Keyboard shortcuts" page available from the Help menu would be helpful. Once I've used a piece of software for a while, I like to explore and find the shortcuts / tips that can help me be a little more efficient. Most tips / keyboard shortcuts aren't useful until I am already comfortable using the program, so force feeding tips / hints through popups, alerts, and "what's new" windows like other programs do for "discoverability" is really irritating. But, having the info available if I go looking for it (especially available in the program, not needing to search the web) is really appreciated.
Hi, I think this bug has resurfaced. I use a Mac with M1 running Sonoma Version 0.99.125-beta (WebKit 616.1.22).
I have the same issue. It bounces back when I try to add an extension or any other icon to the overflow space drag and drop space.

Drag and drop is currently broken, see: https://orionfeedback.org/d/6376
As a temporary workaround you can right click extension icons on the toolbar and select Move to Overflow Menu
