After 1-2 days, Orion becomes very sluggish

I've been trying Orion out for the last couple of days on a brand new Mac mini M4 and I was super stoked that I found a browser similar to Safari but support of extensions. But this joy has been short lived.

While at first speedy and fast, it doesn't take to long before Orion becomes slow and sluggish. And it's not the extensions. I've disabled them and reseted Orion. Still after 1-2 minutes it becomes slow and sluggish. And it doesn't feel like it is the web speed. Hitting refresh webpage it sits around doing nothing for 2-4 seconds then it loads. And that doesn't happen the first 1-2 minutes after you reset, those few minutes it has the same performance as Safari.

And other browsers on the same system works fine no matter how long or many extensions. I hate to say this but I will abandon Orion now despite loving everything else with it. But performance is king and Orion simply doesn't have it.

Same problem here. About 20 tabs open, most are sleeping. Bitwarden (Firefox) is only extension. Browser becomes sluggish after a while. Some tabs, especially YouTube, consumes a lot of memory, but both CPU and memory usage is within what I would call normal. I tried to flush the cache, it didn't help.

Edit: I installed Bitwarden for Chrome instead of the Firefox version and Orion has been behaving well so far. As others have mentioned this might be an extension issue.

I've been able to reproduce it pretty consistently and provided some sample Data from Aktivity Monitor

Same here sadly, I wanted to use orion so bad but I have experienced similar issues.
Then I heard about the 1.0.0 release and wanted to give it another go but experienced similar performance issues.
It happens whenever I keep a lot of tabs open and leave the browser open for some time, then it becomes quite slow even to open a new tab or click on existing tabs, hopefully this problem get's fixed soon

Similar experience, the memory consumption and energy impact have gone up after a few hours of usage.
