I'm using a Mac Mini as a Home Theatre running Catalina and Firefox with Speed Dial to display the websites I want....
Does not work with Speed Dial extensions I tried. (3 of them) gave up.
Won't connect to PLEX TV. Firefox does with ease.
Can't add background picture like Safari.
Refuses to login to AcornTV.
Painfully slow when streaming Brtibox compared to either Firefox or Safari.
I could go on but I imagine I've annoyed you enough by now so I won't go further...
