@Vlad so idk if there issue was related to mine, after extension installation, the app would just stall at login. i managed to bypass the login stall issue by using the qr code login. turning on the vpn seemed to work but once on, it would be stuck on. Only possibility is to switch servers. I did obtain this code from the extension that might be causing the issues though:
"There is another conflicting extension, that controls webRTC settings. Please disable other extensions that control WebRTC."
I tried disabling webrtc settings under dev/experimental & webkit all at once or one by one but none really affected functionality
