If you visit this page (https://github.com/below/HelloSilicon) and hover over the first link ("Programming with 64-bit ARM Assembly Language"), there is no preview of the link destination at the bottom-left of the screen.
If you hover over other links on the same page, there is a small preview of the URL about to be clicked.
I suspect that the length of the hyperlink is the cause of this - I guess if the link is just too long, the focus should be on showing the first part of it, perhaps weighted towards the TLD, so the user can see where they are about to browse to.
As it stands, this is a potential vulnerability for phishing, as it breaks the expectation of user training (hover the mouse over a link before you click it, look at where it goes to...), not that users can understand a complex modern URL, but that's another issue....
