Steps to reproduce:

  1. I followed this issue to get email notifications about its progress.
  2. I never got any updates (and checked my spam folder
  3. I have received notifications recently, but those were from issues I had reported or commented on directly.

Expected behavior:
I expected to get notification emails for updates to the issue

    I also didn't see any notifications from that thread in the web UI for notifications

      If notifications are working for other people, and this isn't a more widespread bug, feel free to just close it. I'm sure there are much more worthwhile things to work on 🙂

        gfranks they work for me, so email does not get delviered to you for some reason.

          I get emails for this, and issues/features I've started. It was just the Follow-but-not-directly-participate case where I didn't get any

            @Vlad @gfranks This issue has become more widespread after 28th August,2022 (UTC)

            No mails and in-website notifs (irrespective of being the post creator or indirectly following the post) have occurred since then. Moreover, even the discord webhook has stopped updating after this date.

            I'm not sure if the issue gfranks faced was a pre-cursor to this widespread outage or maybe something different entirely
