  • "Open in app" dialog should offer to open the link in the browser without making the decision permanent

  • SuggestionsMobileDone

Avoozl Both of those options already exist ("Never" and "Always" respectively). In addition there is also "Once" option.

Checkboxes and not common in mobile interfaces.

What is confusing you?

@Vlad, how does one open the link in the browser without setting it as the default action? Is "Cancel" supposed to do it? Because right now, tapping "Cancel" just closes the modal dialog without actually doing anything.

Avoozl Can you check how does popular Opener app do it?

Vlad It is a paid app, and I don't have it, so not really.

          Maybe we can change to

We found xxx app installed on your device. How would you like to open this link?

          Open in App
          Open in Browser

          [ toggle] Remember my choice

Vlad That is exactly what I initially proposed.

Avoozl That is exactly what the "Once" option is for, it opens in the respective app, without setting it as default.

JunkBrunstoe Yes, but what about when you open the link in the browser, rather than the app?
