Go to a course on udemy and click on settings option in bottom right of video player. video quality is forced to auto

Did you try using Compatibility mode? If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?>

yes i tried compatibility mode yet the bug remained . yes safari also behave in same way.
bug was not present on FF and Brave.
Expected behavior:

general video quality options like 40p , 720p , 1080p should be present.

    auto does "internally" switches to higher quality(sometimes) then i have to empty cache and reload the to watch that portion back

      Does it work if u change the useragent to chrome or firefox?

        eirk no , i've tried all user agents options.
        Also , in between it switches to lower quality sometimes .

          Vlad funny thing. they are going to need a way to reproduce the bug and i tired to reproduce it on free courses but the video quality option is actually present there(big pikachu face).
          i am getting video quality option even preview of paid courses.

          a website's bug maybe or a feature on other browserss' to manually force a video quality? Since the have lots of tools and support for web-devs ?

            AlphaAstronaut This probably falls under website bug. You are not looking for a new feature, just existing feature to work.

              No one is typing
