I am the developer of Timing (https://timingapp.com/), an automatic time tracking app for Mac. I recently added support for tracking Orion browser by using its Apple script interface, which worked well. For most browsers, we automatically mask tracked information for incognito tabs (see https://timingapp.com/help/exclusions#toc-excluding-incognito-web-browsing-activity); however, I did not find a way to detect incognito mode via AppleScript with Orion.
For Safari and Firefox, I try to detect incognito mode by scanning the window title for specific phrases, but that is brittle and can break e.g. for different localizations and/or when the corresponding strings change. Chrome on the other hand has a “mode” property on its “window” AppleScript objects which indicated incognito mode.
Would it be possible for you to add a way to expose the incognito state on Orion windows as well? Alternatively, is there another way for me to detect incognito mode as reliably as possible, e.g. via the window title?
