Steps to reproduce:
When on Tab Groups (iOS) or Manage Windows (macOS), there is an old instance of my iPhone showing instead of my current one.
I believe this happened when the latest update was released.
To help understand the situation, it’s like I have 2 iPhones now:

  • The one I’m currently using, on the latest update, not shown in the device list when it should).
  • The one before this update, shown on the device list and stayed there).

Expected behavior:
Devices shown and that are being synced should be the latest known version.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
1.0.3.120
iOS 15.4.1
iPhone 12 Pro Max

    If I can piggy back on this issue -- I have also noticed that the name of the device doesn't update.
    Typically, if my Macbook was called "xxx" when I installed Orion, and change it's name to "yyy" in MacOSX's settings, the name will still stay "xxx" in the tab groups.

      Sync will be fixed in next update.

        I now have the correct iPhone displayed on my MacBook but the old version of the iPhone is still there as well. @Vlad
        Also, I'm not sure if the sync is supposed to be instant or if there's a delay but opened pages on a device are not showing for the others.

          ImTiagoSousa I suggest opening a new issue with exact steps to reproduce (video would help). Speed of sync should be the same as Safari as both use iCloud.

              Vlad It's still the same issue I previously mentioned.
              Here's the screenshot, I hope it helps.
              One is the latest version of my iPhone synced and the other one is the last state of an old version of Orion for iOS.
              The only difference now is that my latest version is also synced.

                  I'm also seeing tab sync issues.

                  My Mac and my iPad both show my iPhone twice, and neither listing has an accurate list of current tabs.

                  Group tab syncing is also wonky. If I create a Tab Group and add a tab to it on e.g., my iPad, the new tab doesn't always show in the same tab group on my other devices. The Group seems to sync successfully between iPhone and Mac fairly reliably, but it's been about ten minutes and a tab added on my iPad still isn't appearing on my Mac nor my iPhone.

                  Cross-device syncing is enabled via the in-app settings on each device, and Orion is checked in the iCloud system settings on each device. I have quit and relaunched Orion on each device and restarted each device since I started seeing these problems.

                    Vlad I’m not sure how. I think that now that i updated to iOS 16 it did another instance of my phone again. Not sure if that’s the trigger or not.
