One of the reasons why i've stuck with Firefox for so long is due to the ability to customise settings.
For example, as a privacy inclined user, I may want to switch the timezone to UTC, disable WebGL or other means (think arkenfox).
In Firefox we have about:config, Chrome has chrome://flags I believe.
I like the appeal of Orion, with a few features built in to block ads and trackers, customise user agent strings and install extensions with either chrome or firefox.
Some suggestions for privacy features to prevent tracking could include:
- ability to control settings on a page (may already exist, however could only find Develop -> Experimental features, however turning off WebGL there didn't disable it)
- Canvas randomisation - protect against fingerprinting
- Time zone offset (Australians don't have a massive web footprint)
- Audiocontext fingerprint randomisation
You all are doing a great job so far, was thrilled to have an adblocker in browser on my phone!
