In Safari and Chrome, when you use option + backspace in the url field (or "omnibox") it deletes the preceding word, but it does not count dashes or dots as part of the word. This allows you to very easily delete for example the tld from a domain name.
In Orion the url field behaves exactly like a regular macOS text field, in that it does not stop deleting at a dash or dot. E.g. when you're on https://gist.github.com/|
, when using option + backspace in Orion's url field, it will delete the full domain name in one keypress. On Safari it would be https://gist.github.|
, https://gist.|
, and empty |
.
It would be nice if Orion could mimic Safari's behaviour here. It's minor, but it messes with my muscle memory of using option + backspace to delete parts of the domain name.
