As a web developer, dabbling in (S)CSS comes with the territory. Big fan of tools such as Espresso Editor that allows live (s)css editing. The editor can do a good job on larger projects. However for quick (S)CSS edits on a page/site, a browser extension is a great alternative. There are some easy to use live css editor extensions.

Now on our end we are really loving SCSS - SASS and LESS. Live editor browser extensions for SCSS are rare. There are maninly 2. But one is hard to use as it does not allow it to show the editor in a separate window... Good luck testing responsive view for 320px wide devices.

One tool I have been using a year plus is Amino Editor and it's Chrome extension. First tests show that this extension will not work out of the box in Orion. (I gave the developer of the extension a heads up). But honestly, I have no clue if compatibility for an extension in Orion is something that needs fixing on Orion's end on on the Extensions's end. I would love to be educated on that.

Long story short: My life would be complete if the Amino Editor Extension would run natively in Orion 😉

If there is anything I can assist with in doing testing on this or contacting the Amino Editor developer... Please let me know!

I was about raise this but glad someone already did.

What happens with this extension is when you click on the extension icon, it request you to login in a new tab. But looks like the session is not shared across tabs (or with the application), so when you go back to the tab where you want to activate the extension, it still considers that you have logged into amino.

Even the Magic CSS does not works. Fails to load when clicked on the extension icon to activate.

BO This is just one of the 300,000 extensions out there, and one of 1,500 open issues we have on the site. We prioritize based on upvotes and impact to user base. Happy to hear your suggestions.

Totally understand that attention to such issues can only be driven by user votes or interest. Although I have a feeling that there is something common or a pattern amongst these extensions that are not working; amino and live css being the two and belonging to the same category. I will ping other such extensions that are not working for me. Just FYI.

I will let your team take a look whenever they get a chance.
