Orion is currently sharing pdf files as links. This is also the default behavior of Safari ever since iOS 13 or 14, but at least with Safari you can change it into sending the pdf as pdf with no need to download it in the app you're sharing it to again.

Before, Safari only shared pdf as pdf and I hope Orion can be changed to do so as well. This is especially useful for students and the likes who download pdfs from sites that need a login and where sharing the link to the pdf won't help at all, since you can only transfer such pdfs if you can directly send the pdf, instead of its link.

The bad thing with Safari currently is that you have to set this option "Send as pdf" for every single file. If Orion could do that by default that would be great.

        Summary: I just want Orion to send pdf files when you open the share screen on a page that shows you a pdf file.

        The problem is probably clear if you try the following:

        • Open a link to a pdf in mobile Orion, e.g.: https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/bho/BHO.pdf

        • Then enable Airplane mode to disable your internet connection

        • Now try sharing your pdf via the iOS share screen to another app, e.g. the Documents App by Readdle
          -> it won't work since Orion doesn't share the pdf, it shares the URL and causes Documents to download it again

        This is a problem if e.g. the pdf has a huge size or if the download depends on you being logged in (you won't be logged in in e.g Documents)

        With Safari sharing the URL is the default behavior (for whatever reason), but at least you have the option to change it into sharing the pdf (as you can see in my recording above)
