I just tried setting up website limits via Screen Times's "App Limits" feature.
System Preferences > Screen Time > App-Limits > [+] > Websites

I found the limits only applied to Safari and not Orion. Firefox doesn't seem to support this feature as well. It would be nice if it would be possible in Orion.

Edit: Another user on the Discord server mentioned that there is an API for doing this:

It would be great to have the Screen Time App limits like with Safari. It's helpful for focus for people with ADD/ADHD like me.

btw it looks like chrome does support this

Merged 2 posts from Integration with  Screen Time.

          Steps to reproduce:
Set a screen time limit for orion through system preferences
watch a youtube video till the time limit crosses
          video continues playing

          Expected behavior:
video should pause, as in safari.

          Orion, OS version; hardware type:

Would also love this feature on Orion 🙂

eirk yes, although it looks like it isn't enabled by default in chromium, I have to go to chrome://flags
              and enable it here:

+1, the lack of this feature is actually a deal breaker for me. All the best with Orion!

Is the particular ask here for mobile or desktop versions?

For me as well! Though mobile would be appreciated too (and also of course prioritize this appropriately with the rest of things)

Has this already been implemented? I don't see anything in the Release Notes and the latest v0.99.124.1-beta still isn't detecting app limits on my end

Is there any way to disable this? Getting around the clunky way that Safari handles Downtime is actually what brought me to using Orion.

I use Downtime during certain timeframes to keep me focused and block out distractions. However, I often need to browse the internet but it’s not possible as every website is blocked (even the good ones). One solution would be to have Orion respect the “always allowed” option and propagate that to all websites.

I recently switched my son to Kagi for search, and use the parent control functions that Kagi provides. However for browsing I have to rely on Safari and the parent control function provided by iCloud. To make Orion suitable for entire families, it should report the sites to Apple's parent control system (not sure if it's possible) or support parent control directly (perhaps integrating with Kagi's).

A parent would need the following functions to control child accounts:

                        • black-listing sites or only allowing white-listed sites
                        • control how much time can be spent on certain sites per day
                        • control total browsing time per day
