(very) slow opening of new tabs

Steps to reproduce:
When I press [command] + T to open a new tab a new tab is opened right away. However when I press [command] + T] again (or a couple of times more) it takes a very very long time for the tab(s) to open.

Expected behavior:
I would expect that all the new tabs open right away (and not just the first new tab)

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion Version 0.99.112-beta (WebKit 614.1.1)
macOS 11.6.3
MacBook Pro 2016

sevdh In the video you press cmd t twice and second time the tab does not open?

That is
a) different from what the title here says (slow to open)?
b) something I can also not reproduce so steps to reproduce would be helpful
