From your video, I think Orion's behaviour might be more "correct" than other browsers.
Firefox behaves as Orion does - if you copy the content of the URL bar, before navigating to the site, then it will not modify or tweak what you copy - it copies the text present in the URL bar, nothing more or less.
If you copy a URL after navigating to the site, it copies the site URL (including scheme, i.e. HTTP or HTTPS) as you would expect.
I'd argue Safari's behaviour is "wrong", since copying an editable, focused text field, which has "browser.kagi.com" visible and selected, should result in "browser.kagi.com" being copied, not "http://browser.orion.com" (which is not what is visible or selected).
