Steps to reproduce:
<Include steps to reproduce the bug; Did you try using Compatibility mode? If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?>

Same issue occurs on many other sites. Reloading the page in compatibility mode does not solve the issue. Scrolling with trackpad works fine.

Expected behavior:
<What you expected to happen?>

Same behavior as when scrolling with the mouse in Safari, or when scrolling with the trackpad in Orion.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:

Orion Version 0.99.111-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
macOS Monterey Version 12.2
MacBook Pro (16", 2021)

Well, I just re-opened the page, and it works for me also now. Very strange indeed.

didole Try remembering the conditions for it to happen; or what you did prior to the magic mouse scrolling not working. There are still large bugs in this browser that require a specific sequence of events. For example, resizing the bookmarks sidebar while in Discord over a certain width logs you out.

It does happen randomly... it's really strange. When I am using my touchpad I don't have issue, but when I switch to my Magic Mouse (v2) I am getting this glitch for many sites, even wordpress dashboard..

          12 days later

I, too, am having this problem on my 16" M1 MBP (2021). Scrolling on the trackpad is fine, but unpredictably when using an Apple magic mouse, scrolling the page can result in this behaviour. (It seems to instantly scroll the page to the top/bottom.)

          macOS 12.2.1 (21D62)
Orion 0.99.113.2-beta (WebKit 613.1.12) (and previous version).

          Details about occurrences:
Extensions: With extensions enabled and disabled.
          Window: Full screen and otherwise.
Scroll direction (in macOS Settings): Not natural direction.
Triggers: No known triggers. Entirely random.

I never encountered this problem. Which means it is either caused by extensions or external factors like OS settings. Not much we can do without steps to reproduce.

I'm seeing the same issue. Hopefully I can provide more details. It happens after leaving Orion open for a while (maybe days?). Some pages I see it on: Github, discord web client, Linear. If I quit and reopen Orion it goes away. This doesn't ever happen on safari.

It looks something wonky starts to happen with the momentum of the scroll, maybe an integer overflow? When the issue starts, if I scroll down really slowly it works, if I scroll down faster by flinging my finger, it causes the page to scroll all the way up past the content. So at this point the only way of scrolling down is by doing so really slowly

It goes away by restarting Orion. I'll add more details if I can make it consistent. It's a really distracting issue.

ukrasd I understand that it is annoying, but without exact steps to reproduce we can not even begin to debug it.

Yeah I get that, I'm a developer as well. I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently yet but I'll let know know when I do. These kind of bugs are hard to track down.

Some more info, maybe just for my reference is that It appears to happen to one tab at a time. So might have something to do with the state of a tab.

An interesting update on this issue: I was using Dark Mode on macOS, but since I switched to Light Mode this magic mouse scrolling issue hasn't recurred. (It's been a few hours of web browsing now.)

                    UPDATE: 09/04/2022
The problem still persists even in light mode, so that isn't it.

                    UPDATE: 09/04/2022
This scrolling issue doesn't just affect the Apple mighty mouse. It also occurs when using the up/down arrow keys (at least on an M1 MBP (16")).

                    Steps to reproduce:

                    1. Open a tab with a page long enough to need scroll bars. E.g. https://orionfeedback.org/d/1054-scripts-stop-running-sites-stop-working-when-left-open-for-a-while/3
                    2. Navigate up and down using the up/down arrow keys.

                    Expected result
                    Smooth scrolling

                    Actual result
The page shoots to the bottom.

                    Environment:
macOS 12.3.1 (also observed on macOS12.2.1)
Orion Version 0.99.113.2-beta (WebKit 613.1.12) (and previous beta release)

                    (Speculation)
It may be related to this issue:
                    https://orionfeedback.org/d/995-scrolling-up-at-website-beginning-goes-to-end-of-page

Vlad I can consistently reproduce it now.

                      It's actually pretty simple.

                      1. Go to any page that has scrollable content
                      2. Scroll with the Magic Mouse
                      3. Scroll with the Macbook Pro's built in trackpad
                      4. Scroll down (by flinging) with the Magic Mouse again

Result, Page will scroll to the to past the content, can only scroll down if done so very slowly.
All other tabs will be unaffected. Page will be stuck like this even if refreshed. Only solution is to close the tab and open it again or close Orion and open it again.

This is happening in Orion 0.99.113.2

                      10 months later

                      Is this fixed now?
