kahnclusions This is also something I really need in a browser for work. We need to access certain sites via a SOCKS proxy, and if I could configure proxy settings per profile in Orion this would be amazing. For now I still need to keep Firefox around for this.
ylluminate Yes, this is my only holding pattern right now from both using and paying for Orion. I have heard the same from some other folks @kahnclusions.
kahnclusions This kind of request that the team doesnโt have time to do would be something an open source browser could get contributions for. Just saying.
ylluminate Yannick really appreciate this update Yannick. I cannot help but still be frustrated that we're still at least 4+ months away from this because some of us would really like to yank Chromium-based/Brave out of our lives. We're getting sick of the browser drama scene and with what you guys are doing with this and Safari/Webkit is heroic and extremely important. You are one of the truly only unique and valuable browsers now coming to market with a fully possible replacement - especially with the Browser App option to be able to isolate sessions not just as a SSB, but topically and arbitrarily as apps like unto Coherence X and Epichrome. But thank you so much for the update and effort.
obsidian-merlin Yannick Thanks so much for the update! ๐ Wish it was coming sooner, but still very grateful for some good news at last. Please feel free to post again in this thread if you guys need any help with testing or whatever else.
ylluminate Hi @Yannick any chance things have been moving along faster for this? I have been growing tired of other options and would very much like to graduate to Orion... Thanks again for the effort to bring this to fruition!
Yannick Hey @ylluminate, I know that every day feels long for you, but at our level we have a quarterly vision and the last one was 100% dedicated to refactoring. But I can confirm that it's still something Orion will have!
