Steps to reproduce:

  • Navigate to a site with a link to test. HackerNews works well for this
  • Long press on a link and select "Open in new Tab"
  • One of two things happen:
    1. The link that is opened is NOT the link that that was selected. It seems to be the link selected before the most current link was selected.
    2. If the tab session is new, and there is no previous link, the new tab will not be opened at all.

e.g.:

  • I start a new tab
  • I find a website that links to orionfeedback.com and news.ycombinator.com
  • I open link orionfeedback.com in a new tab
    • No new tab will be opened
  • I open link news.ycombinator.com in a new tab
    • orionfeedback.com will load in new tab

Expected behavior:
I would expect the new tab to contain the webpage selected previously

Image/Video:
In video below:
Open In New Tab troy hunt.com, get wesleyac.com
Open In New Tab dragas.net, get troyhunt.com
Open In New Tab shlegeris.com, get dragas.net

I just noticed in the video. When I check the tabs panel, it says there are n+1 open tabs at the top, but only n tabs are shown in the selector
