Prompt before opening a 3rd party app

You mention privacy. When I tap a Twitter link, it should NEVER EVER open in the app without asking FIRST. This should be default for ALL apps because links to apps lead to tracking.

There was a setting for it but I don't see it now? Either way the DEFAULT should be ask first.

I can add that when using Orion on iPadOS I’ve had every instance of a link opening in another app auto-open the app, and then when I return to Orion only then am I presented with the pop up. More ideally and to avoid confusion, Orion should change its behaviour so this pop up happens before the link has a chance to change apps. Additionally it would be nice if the App Opener settings had an additional option to blanket allow/deny all apps entirely.

You're right, currently the behaviour is not optimal. I think the initial implementation assumed the user doesn't want to be interrupted for an action as "simple" as opening an app, but we agree with you, it's confusing and also has privacy implications as you noted.

We'll work on improving this user experience.
