When using Compact Tabs, middle-clicking the title bar of the active tab does nothing. I would expect it to close the tab, just as middle-clicking inactive tabs already does.
In Standard and Vertical tab layouts, middle-click closes both active and inactive tabs as expected. The inconsistent behavior appears to be limited to Compact Tabs.
I also couldn't find any setting to customize this behavior, which makes it seem like an unintended inconsistency rather than a design choice.
Expected behavior: middle-click closes both active and inactive tabs.
