Tab order is rearranged when app is re-opened

Whenever the app is reloaded, either by swiping it away in the app switcher and reopening it or automatically by the system, the order of my tabs is rearranged. It consistently happens if I open a new tab to any site and force close and open the app.

My tab order should remain as I left it.

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this issue, could you provide me with a bit more info?

Are your tabs always reordered when you close and relaunch the app, or is it only sometimes?
Does this happen with any number of tabs, or only when you have a lot open (how many roughly)?
Do you have Sync enabled (in Settings)?

This seems to happen after I press the new tab button and enter a search to google and immediately close and reopen the app.
I just tried it with a brand new empty tab group of just six tabs and was able to recreate the bug. My regular use tap group has 64 tabs.
Sync is not turned on.

Hi Kooldude93, this extra information helped me!
I am able to to reproduce some weird behaviour when creating a new tab and closing the app just after. I've had a tab or two disappear, and the "tabs" button showing the wrong tab count, but I haven't seen tabs being re-ordered.
However I feel like this could be the same underlying issue.

I'll investigate.
