IPadOS Thumbnails Cache is 5GB and can't be deleted

Orion Settings>Storage and App Data reports 6GB App Size. Almost all of this is listed as Thumbnails Cache (under Orion Application Support heading). Pressing "Clear Cache" has no effect. Currently in iPadOS 18 (but problem was in prior iOS as well).

1.) Is this a bug that can be fixed, since thumbnails sound like non-sytem deletable type content?

2.) If not, I can delete and reinstall the app BUT I don't want to lose my many bookmarks. Is there a way to migrate my bookmarks to a fresh Orion install (I do not use iCloud).

I expected (at a minimum) all thumbnails to be deleted from Cache when I select "Delete Cache"

Hey, the Delete Cache button should just work, but for some reason that isn't the case on your device.

As a workaround, could you try Settings → Privacy → Clear History and Websites Data (don't worry, tapping this doesn't do anything yet) → Select Websites Cache → Time range: All time → Clear?

I may have found a cause for this issue. Will look into it more closely soon, and update this ticket with my finding.

In the meantime, I'll delete/ reinstall Orion to get rid of the large cache file. Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to do this WITHOUT losing my many bookmarks. Is there a way to migrate my bookmarks to a fresh Orion install (I do not use iCloud).

You should be able to save a copy of your bookmarks with the following steps. The same menu can be used for importing them following reinstalling Orion.
