Bookmarks Bar Display is Broken in Orion 1.1

Just upgraded to 1.1, and it broke my bookmark bar display. I have 3- to 4-character names for all my bookmark bar folders and items, as you can see here:

And yet, no matter how wide the window is, I get this useless mess instead:

Changing the settings (text, icon, text and icon) does nothing to fix it. "Icons only" just gives me a crammed-together different kind of useless mess:

And "Icons + text" gives me a third kind of useless mess:

Ack!

Not sure it's a bug as such, but it's really irritating ;-)

When minibar option is selected I get full favourite names.
Without minibar option, I get truncated names - which is unusable for folders.

I expect the text to be full for both options... OR an additional option to explicitly truncate long names.

Hey @isocat @dickiedyce,
looks like this is an issue on macOS15, which is why it wasn't caught during testing. This will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix build that should take care of issues like this.

laiz This sounds like 1.1 was not tested at all on MacOS 15, is that correct? That could certainly explain the unexpected beating I took by assuming this update would be as thoroughly vetted and debugged as all previous updates.

How did it not occur to the team that "This hasn't been tested in MacOS 15" needed to be a warning in advance, not an oh-yeah-that's-why-it-wasn't-caught-in-testing after that lack of testing makes problems for users?

(I sound angry because I am.)

the new update updated the bookmarks bar. Now I can't read my bookmarks as they all look like "I...m" and "Cert...ates". Taking out the icons or deleting bookmarks to make space for more don't fix the issue.

The previous update did not have this issue. Delete the new update or fix it.

Icons are also closer together, but I prefer it. I wonder if it can be made an option?

Hey, this is a bug on older macOs versions. It will be fixed in the upcoming 1.1.1 build.
