App crashes before it even opens due to tab number

So a little update on the issue I reported about my Orion Browser app refusing to open without crashing. It has come to the point where I haven't been able to even open it for over 20 days, rendering the app pretty much impossible for me to use. I have over 10k tabs and it's so unfortunate that I can't access them. I'm attaching a video to show exactly what happens when I try to open the app. This only started when I updated to 1.4.18. I joined the TestFlight beta 1.4.20 to see if it would help but it didn't.

I expect it to open with crashing so I can use the app.

Hi KoroKara, thank you for taking the time to report this bug!

When the app does crash, and it shows the alert "Do you want to share additional data with the developer", could you add a little comment saying something like "This happens with 10k tabs"?
This will help us sift through the crash reports and review yours specifically.
This would be extremely helpful to narrow down on the udnerlying issue and hopefully find a good fix quickly.

I never understood why having many open tabs is a comfortable way of working instead of just using bookmarks.

This is still happening as of 1.5.0 build 3. This started happening on 1.4.18 build 1. I am still unable to open the app since then because it crashes before it fully opens. I believe this is happening due to the number of tabs I have which is over 10K. It was crashing a lot before update 1.4.18 but not to the point of where I can't even open. And when I reinstall the builds before 1.4.18 build 1 (1.4.17 and older) on TestFlight, the app loads as normal without crashing. Video of crash attached

I expect the app to work as normally and not crash so I can access the app.

I finally had time to look into this and I think I found a fix. I'll let you know in this thread when it ships.

KoroKara some fixes shipped in build 1.5.0 (5) and more fixes shipped in 1.5.1 (1).

jeanetienne Thank you! I am now able to access the app finally. However, I occasionally do still experience crashes even before the app opens. Usually I just have to restart the app and it'll open again. So I'm assuming there is still an issue there. Also the app will crash after using it for a little while. Creating new tabs, loading old tabs, trying to use the search for tab feature, etc.

You're right, there's probably still some areas we can improve when it comes to better supporting large numbers of tabs. If you do find a reliable way to reproduce a crash, please do create a new ticket with details, and even a crash report. This would be extremely valuable.
To share a crash report, Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data, scroll to the files starting with Orion, tap the one matching your crash time, then tap the Share icon to save or send it.
