App says it's damaged and doesn't open after Update

I just updated Orion but didn't really got the version of the update, but I figure it's the latest at June 2nd 2026. After closing the app for update, it simply doesn't open again, saying it's damaged and should be moved to the trash.

I expected the app to open normally after an update, like other times I updated it

To clarify, does just in this case mean mere minutes ago? Earlier today there was an issue with the update process for the latest version, but it should be fixed now.

Nevertheless, could you try downloading the 1.0.8 version from https://cdn.kagi.com/updates/26_0/147.zip and replacing the Orion.app in your /Applications with it?

Hi! Yes, it was e few minutes before I posted the bug report. I tried launching it from the Terminal but nothing was working and I really needed to get the browser to work, so I ended up deleting and downloading it again..

But thanks for the reply, I'll check for the update link if it happens again -- although I hope it doesn't

Closing this, as the glitch is fixed and we released new update 147.1 with the fix.
