Steps to reproduce:
- Open ChatGPT/OpenAI in Orion.
- Attempt to sign in.
- Enable Compatibility Mode for ChatGPT/OpenAI pages/URLs involved in the login flow.
- Retry sign-in.
- Enter email and password successfully.
- Attempt to complete OpenAI 2FA.
- OpenAI shows a red error: “This option is temporarily unavailable.”
- Trying another 2FA option, such as push notification or email, produces the same red error.
- Result: login cannot be completed and ChatGPT cannot be used while signed in through Orion.
Expected behavior:
OpenAI/ChatGPT login and 2FA should complete normally in Orion, especially after Compatibility Mode is enabled.
Actual behavior:
OpenAI’s 2FA flow fails with “This option is temporarily unavailable,” blocking sign-in completely.
Important details:
- Happens in regular browsing mode.
- Happens in private browsing mode.
- Happens even after Compatibility Mode is enabled for OpenAI/ChatGPT pages.
- The failure appears specifically around OpenAI’s auth/2FA flow rejecting something about Orion’s browser/session behavior.
- This makes ChatGPT/OpenAI effectively unusable while signed in through Orion.
