Some popup menus in Orion require the user to click-and-release to open the menu, then move the mouse pointer over the desired menu item, and click-and-release again to make the selection.

The original interaction for selecting a menu on the Mac, however, was to click the menu, hold the mouse button down while moving the pointer, and then release over the desired menu item. The interaction outlined above was only added much later (in System 7, maybe? 🤔).
Any Mac-native application should always support both selection interactions for all menus in the app.
Click-drag-release is supported in all menus in Orion.
