Description
Hi,
I am writing to request support for iOS 16 devices, specifically regarding TestFlight access.
Currently, as listed on the App Information page for the latest build (Version 1.4.16, expires 12 Jul 2026), Orion requires iOS 17.0 or later (or visionOS 1.0). While I understand the focus on leveraging the latest OS capabilities, many users, particularly those on TestFlight with older devices that are stuck on iOS 16, have lost the ability to use Orion entirely.
Because of this hard requirement, we are unable to install the latest beta builds. The one build that previously worked on iOS 16 has expired recently. Older TestFlight builds that are shown in the "Previous Builds" section (such as 1.4.5 (2) which expires in 10 days) also require iOS 17. We are essentially locked out of the Orion ecosystem and can no longer participate in beta testing.

Request
Would it be technically feasible to lower the Minimum Deployment Target in Xcode to iOS 16.x for an upcoming TestFlight build? Even if specific features requiring iOS 17 APIs (like certain Vision Pro integrations) are disabled or grayed out on older OS versions, simply having the ability to install and run the core browser on iOS 16 would be a massive win for the testing community and would allow those of us on older devices to continue providing valuable feedback.
Thank you for considering this request and for all the hard work on Orion.
Environment:
Current Requirement: iOS 17.0 or later (and visionOS 1.0 or later)
Current Version: 1.4.16 (1)
Best regards,
Yuriy
