On ios 26 with iphone 16 pro, I use an app called feedly which aggregates news stories that I then click on to load inside of Orion app (app redirects to Orion). I want the Orion app to show a black background before loading the webpage, instead of the current white.
In Safari > same action (clicking on story in Feedly) will open up Safari with a black background before the webpage loads itself. In Orion, it loads with a white screen.
This is jarring when browsing in low light conditions because I get a bright white background before it loads the webpage in dark mode.
Safari already does this by loading a black background before the webpage is loaded. Orion is faster but it is jarring when loading into the browser when it is late at night or in low light conditions (I use dark mode for almost everything). I am using the latest versions of Safari and Orion as of 3/31/2026.
