Every time the app is re-opened, the order of tabs in tab group are rearranged

If I have a bunch of tabs in a tab group in a specific order, and I close and re-open the app, some of the tabs have suddenly been rearranged to different positions than where I left them. This has been a thing for quite some time now and it has been reported by other users without something ever being done about it, so hopefully this brings attention back to the issue.

I expect the tabs to stay in the position I left them in without the app randomly rearranging them because it gets really annoying.

KoroKara Thank you for reporting your issue. Does this happen in a saved tab group, or in the default, non-saved one?

astruckm I think it's the default ones on iOS. The ones that are made when you click "New Empty Tab Group"

Hi. When I have named synced tab group at iOS orion, every time when I open Orion tab order changed. It is every time - when tabs are in grid or sidebar

I expect that opened tabs would be placed there constantly

What happened?
Tab order not preserved after moving a tab to the last position and relaunching the browser

How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue?

Open multiple tabs in Orion mobile.
Drag a tab to the last position in the tab list.
Close the browser completely.
Reopen the browser.

Observed behavior:
The moved tab reverts to its previous position. The manually rearranged tab order is not preserved across browser restarts.

What did you expect to happen?
After relaunching, tabs should appear in the same order
as when the browser was closed.

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this issue so far.
Could you tell me if you're using the tab grid interface or the tab list interface?
Are you using a beta version of iOS 26 by any chance?
