Awful Stuttering

Orion starts stuttering for multiple seconds every few seconds. I haven't had this issue up until this week. I'm not sure how to replicate this issue but it also happens on sites with compatibility mode enabled so I doubt it's one of my extensions. Safari and other WebKit apps like EqMac also stutter but they're not nearly as bad as how Orion stutters so it could be WebKit-related.

It could be rather a known macOS Tahoe issue. https://osxdaily.com/2025/09/25/macos-tahoe-26-feels-slow-fix/ Try updating to the latest version 26.3.1

I do not see this behaviour with MacOS Sequoia

howdytom you're probably right, though none of my other apps stuttered this poorly. This problem has since been fixed, and I'm not entirely sure why I'm not coming across it anymore because I'm still on the same version of macOS and Orion as before. It might've just been the tabs I had open. Thank you for replying, though!

Never mind it's back :/
It seems to only stutter like this when I have multiple displays plugged in so it could just be performance.

SkyDotBit Interesting. Most recent MacBook Pro models should handle multiple displays just fine. Try to unplug them one by one to narrow down the issue.

I have this issue on my M1 MacBook Air with no external displays.
